Innovation Award

On the 10th June BubbleDeck CI Ltd. was applauded for Best Use of Innovation at the Jersey Construction Awards 2005.

A glittering glass trophy and Award Certificate were handed to Jorgen Breuning, BubbleDeck Inventor and Danish Structural Engineer, in the presence of over 400 guests at the Awards Dinner.

Robert Plug, Managing Director of BubbleDeck Netherlands and representatives from A C Mauger, who have just completed constructing 7,800sqm of BubbleDeck floor slabs at Le Coie 6 weeks ahead of programme, were also present.

Chairman of the independent judging panel, Deputy Patrick Ryan of the States of Jersey Economic Development Committee, said:-

"Construction is like an evolving science, with businesses constantly seeking to increase their productivity and effectiveness in the market place.

The judges were looking for clear and tangible demand for a new product or process, as well as the benefits being realised on the Island, for both industry and client.

The Award was not just restricted to physical items but advances in management, financing or legal issues representing examples of innovation were also considered by the Judging Panel.

The standard of entrant was very high and also extremely diverse but a winner had to be found. In the end the judges settled on a product at the cutting edge of technology in the industry giving real and tangible benefits not only locally, but we were impressed by the companies fledgling export business through its world wide marketing efforts.
